Brass sphere by Angelo Brotto

Virginia Woolf, Diari, 1925-1930

The collaboration of the Venetian painter and designer Angelo Brotto with Esperia, a Tuscan company producing high quality decorative lighting accessories, has been long. Since its foundation in 1952, the company has demonstrated a very close link with the territory: the main materials are brass and crystals from Colle Val D’Elsa, a true hallmark of Esperia, treated with the skilful skill of local artisans.

Brotto, who instead graduated in 1941 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, started a prolific collaboration with the company, for which he created some lamps for the home, including the famous Quasar wall lamps.
