White and Pink Fruit Bowl, By Ettore Sottsass, 2001

L’aria è ROSA. Un antico crepuscolo ha tinto la piazza e le sue mura. E dura sotto il cielo che dura, estate rosea di più rosea estate.

Dino Campana, Piazza Sarzano, 1914

This pink and white fruit bowl, produced in a limited edition of 50 pieces, marked an important collaboration between Ettore Sottsass and the Bottega d’Arte Ceramiche Gatti.
La Bottega, for almost a hundred years, has been creating works that are used by architects and designers from all over the world to decorate and embellish interior projects for private homes or public spaces.

Since the year of its foundation in Faenza, in 1928, by the painter and ceramic sculptor Riccardo Gatti, the Bottega has always sought dialogue with avant-garde artists, designers and architects. The adventure, which started when, at the end of the 1920s, the collaboration with Giacomo Balla was born, has never stopped and over the years has seen an increase in the extent of the relationships and understandings that the Bottega has established with young artists and those already established, such as Enrico Baj, Mimmo Paladino, Carla Accardi, Giò Ponti, Aldo Mondino, Luigi Ontani, Giosetta Fioroni and, of course, our Ettore Sottsass.
